HyukJun Lee

Dr Hyukjun Lee is a professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Sogang University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. His research laboratory develops computer architecture and system software for AI/Big Data applications. He earned his B.S. (1993), with a major in Computer science and engineering with Summa Cum Laude from University of Southern California and M.S. (1995) and Ph.D. (2001) in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

From 2001 to 2011, he held the position of Senior Engineer and System Architect at Cisco Systems, Inc. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in the packet processor development of the CRS-1 and CRS-3, which were renowned as the world’s fastest internet routers at that time. In 2011, he transitioned to Sogang University. Since then, his focus has encompassed extensive research in computer architecture, operating systems, embedded systems, and deep neural network applications. Furthermore, he has passionately shared his expertise by teaching courses in the fields of computer architecture, operating systems, and embedded systems.
