Embedded Computing Lab has researched various topics including highly optimized embedded systems and high performance and energy efficient computer architectures. In the past, we developed high precision low power positioning system for unmanned vehicles and image based stem-cell sorting computer system for bio-applications. In addition, we explored highly optimized memory system for mobile applicaitons and non-volatile memory-based FPGA architectures. In the area of sysem software, we developed energy efficient network stack for IoT devices. Currenly, we investigate low-power high performance embedded system for deep learning applications and optimized memory and storage architecture for deep learning and big data applications.
