Designing hybrid in-memory computing units for domain specific applications


Emergence of Non-Volatile Memory technologies (e.g. Phase Change Memory, MRAM etc.) provides a new perspective in architecting embedded systems. Memory scalability and longer data retention time are only the few of the promising characteristics that NVMs portray. Our research seeks to exploit these features with appropriate adaptation to build enhanced application-specific designs. Applications in concern include memory intensive tasks such as network processing and big data processing.
